Updating laptop graphics
I also deleted old drivers before trying to install the new ones and tried a windows update.
After installation you will be required to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
A graphics driver is the software that allow your operating system and programs to use your computer’s graphics hardware.
I'm just a bit puzzled by this because in the four years I've owned the laptop I've done maybe 8 destructive re-formats of the laptop and it has none of the HP bumf on it and hasn't for years.
I understand my laptop isn't for gaming, but really, the game I am trying to play really should run. I'm well aware of the shortcomings on the hardware side that this laptop has.
If your laptop has dedicated graphics (nvidia or ati) then there may be a beter grahics card that HP made for that product line.
Recently my laptops wifi connection randomly disconnects, and only happens when I'm not using it for a while and just leave it on.
Some computers contain integrated graphics processing, which means there is no graphics card that is distinct from the motherboard.Hp tech support said it was possible and said they had dedicated graphics card on their site but no luck, i even called the store customer service and still no luck. If your laptop has integrated graphics (intel hd ....or if you have an amd a-....) then the answer is an immediate no.The error I get is "the setup program failed to install one or more device drivers. I have tried older versions (of the 2013 driver) to no avail.I have read it's because I am attempting to install a generic driver on my HP laptop. That's actually what the intel driver detector says, too.
